Administrative Oversight of Outcomes Assessment

The Interdepartmental Undergraduate and Graduate Microbiology Programs were established in the summer of 2003 by the Departments of Animal Science and Plant Pathology to continue the microbiology degree programs. Faculty are from the Departments of Agronomy; Animal Science; Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology; Entomology; Food Science and Human Nutrition; Genetics, Development and Cell Biology; National Animal Disease Center; Plant Pathology; Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory; Veterinary Pathology; and Veterinary Microbiology and Preventive Medicine. The program's oversight is the responsibility of the Animal Science and Plant Pathology Department Chairs and is administered through supervisory committees.

The Microbiology Undergraduate Program is administered by the Department of Plant Pathology, Entomology and Microbiology, with the involvement of professors from a wide range of departments.
