Dr. Verhoeven's research focuses on defining immune responses to mucosal pathogens, respiratory bacterial vaccines, viral/bacterial co-infections of the lungs, viral induced immunopathology (influenza and RSV), pediatric immunology, CD4 T-cell responses to respiratory pathogens and HIV.
