Since 1994, CELLS alive! has provided students with a learning resource for cell biology, microbiology, immunology, and microscopy through the use of mobile-friendly interactive animations, video, puzzles, quizzes and study aids. The Cells Alive! site contains some exciting micrographs, videos, and other information. The site focus is on the microscope and microscopy.

The Microbiology Undergraduate Program is administered by the Department of Plant Pathology, Entomology and Microbiology, with the involvement of professors from a wide range of departments.
